Charlemont Reggae Festival
Where One Love Always Rings True!
New England has a vast amount of very high quality reggae bands, and we wanted a great venue to feature their music. Two great local reggae musicians Abdul Baki & Ras Jahn Bullock got together to start the first Charlemont Reggae Festival. With very limited budgets, a handful of resources, and a bunch of enthusiastic volunteers, the Charlemont Reggae Festival was born.
It is our goal to bring peace and harmony loving reggae bands together to provide a full day of island vibes and the irie feeling of one love, one heart, and one people as a continuing theme throughout the day. This reggae family event brings together the idea of peace, green living, and the overall feeling of being one with your fellow neighbor dancing right next to you. If you don't watch out you may actually learn something that day as we try to feature different reggae legends such as Mutabaruka (Jamaican Rastafari dub poet, musician, actor, educator, and talk-show host) or Roger Steffens best known for his amazing archives of Bob Marley.
