I-SHEA & Sana Ndiaye (of JAMATANABINA)

JAM-ATAN is a transcontinental conversation through music, between the Jola people of Senegal, Latinx of the Caribbean, hip hop from the Americas, and all languages in between. Rooted in the ekonting, the African relative to the American banjo, the music speaks a Universal language of peace, love, life, and justice. JAM-ATAN (abina) is a highly rhythmic vibration channeling ancestral and contemporary sounds and in Jola means "Listen up the Music has arrived"
